Sterilisation & hygiene

How we keep your treatment clean and safe

Every reusable instrument is cleaned, sealed and sterilised before it reaches you. Single-use items are used once and thrown away, and the room is disinfected after every patient. Here is exactly how we do it.

Class B autoclave

Vacuum steam sterilisation for every reusable instrument

Sealed until your visit

Instrument pouches opened in front of you

Single-use items

Needles, suction tips, cups, bibs and gloves

Room disinfected

Chair and surfaces wiped down after every patient

Our protocol

How we sterilise every instrument

Each reusable instrument goes through the same four steps before it is used again.

  1. Cleaned

Used instruments go into an ultrasonic cleaner, which loosens debris from every surface, including the places a brush can't reach.

  2. Sealed

Each set is sealed in a sterilisation pouch with an indicator that changes colour once the cycle is complete.

  3. Sterilised

Our Class B autoclave removes the air with a vacuum, then sterilises with pressurised steam, so steam reaches every surface, including inside hollow instruments. We test it regularly to confirm every cycle works.

  4. Opened in front of you

Instruments stay sealed until your appointment, and we open the pouch in front of you.

Hygiene

Between every patient

  • Chair and surfaces disinfected

After every patient, we spray and wipe down the dental chair and every surface in the room, and change the protective barrier covers.

  • Single-use items

Needles, suction tips, cups, bibs and gloves are used once and thrown away.

  • UV-C room disinfection

UV-C light disinfects the treatment room as an extra layer of protection.

  • Clean air and water

Air purification and dental waterline disinfection keep the air you breathe and the water used in your mouth clean.

Safety

Safe disposal of clinical waste

Clinical waste is separated into colour-coded bins, as India's Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules require, and collected by an authorised biomedical waste agency.
